First, the use of polishing wheels
Needless to say, the importance of the polishing wheel in the entire process of polishing, no matter what kind of surface treatment it must be used to complete. Sanding, peeling, deburring, matte polishing, mirror polishing, etc. Along with its importance, there are many more prominent issues.
1. Choose polishing wheels according to different polishing materials, and use different polishing wheels for different metals. For example, a hemp wheel or oil hemp wheel can be used for the initial polishing of stainless steel. The hardness of the hemp wheel should be large enough to be able to correspond to the polishing effect of the stainless steel surface; and such as copper products cannot use this kind of super hard polishing wheel. The texture is too soft, and the polishing wheel is too hard and easy to deform. At present, the wind wheel is generally used.
2. Choose polishing wheels according to polishing requirements. As mentioned earlier, polishing has different levels of requirements such as sand, matte, and mirror light. The sand is generally polished with an abrasive belt and a thousand-impeller wheel. In special circumstances, a sponge wheel and a hemp wheel may be used. The matte effect adopts hemp rope wheel, hemp wheel, thousand silk wheel and so on. Mirror effect stainless steel is generally used for cloth wheels, and for softer ones, pearl cloth wheels can be used.
Second, the use of polishing wax
Experts know that dry polishing with a polishing wheel can only cause damage to the product, because we need to apply a chemical agent-polishing wax (polishing paste) to the polishing wheel while polishing. There are also many types of polishing waxes. How do we distinguish them and how to choose them? The use of polishing is generally determined by the polishing effect and the material of the polishing product. In the initial polishing, ordinary white wax is generally used for stainless steel, yellow wax or red wax is used for zinc alloy and aluminum alloy, and purple wax or blue wax can be used for 304 stainless steel. In the fine polishing, green wax is generally used, if the requirements are higher, you can use the 5th small white wax.
Third, the fixture problem
In the polishing process, we often encounter product fixation problems. There are many types of products in the polishing industry. Except for round pipes, square pipes, flat plates and other commonly used products that do not require fixtures, there are standard machines for polishing, and some irregular or small products need to be fixed before they can be polished. . Fixtures for fixing products are called fixtures in polishing equipment, and are generally fixed on a mechanical workbench. There are mainly vacuum fixtures, magnetic fixtures, and general fixtures.
If the irregular product is polished without a fixture, it may fly off. This is a taboo in the polishing production. How to customize a suitable fixture may have a huge impact on the efficiency of polishing production. For example, when using a flat polishing machine for small flat products, you need to install a clamp on the worktable of the flat polishing machine. Generally, a vacuum clamp can be used for flat products, and a magnetic clamp can be used for iron products. However, the manufacture of fixtures generally needs to be tailored according to the shape of the polishing product. In the design process of polishing machinery, it is necessary to coordinate as much as possible to ensure that the fixture fits the machine and the product.
